Powerful Week for America While the Countdown to Baseball Season Continues…

So HELLLLLLLLLO Legends fan and as always THANK YOU for taking time to stop by the hottest blog in all of the minor leagues….Diggin’ In to the Legends!

So, it’s Tuesday afternoon and I took a break from work on this day to sit back and take in what was happening in this great land we call, the United States of America. The 44th President of the United States of America was inaugurated and his name is Barack Obama. What a historic day and time, isn’t it? If you’re not moved in some form or another, we might need to stop and check you for a pulse 🙂

Big L Celebrates MLK Day 028.jpgBut, speaking of historic…on Monday, the start of the work week for yours truly and the rest of the gang here in the Legends front office brought a national holiday…Martin Luther King Day. Millions of people around the nation celebrated this day. Here on the home front, here in Lexington…Big L and good ole SuperMario were among thousands of area residents who took part in the annual march through downtown Lexington on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The march is held each year on the King holiday to commemorate the life of the civil rights leader. The march began as a small event on the University of Kentucky campus in the 1970s, but has grown dramatically through the years and now enjoys support and participation from businesses, organizations, schools, churches and individual citizens from across the entire region.

83 DAYS UNTIL the sweet start of 2009 Lexington Legends baseball…Ohmygoodness..I hope everyone is ready for a season of Fun and Games…Just Add You. Myself and the rest of the Legends staff are hammering out all the neat and super fun promotions for this year, so if you haven’t gone ahead and bought your season tickets for the year OR haven’t bought a mini-plan for as cheap as $64 then you should get on that ASAP. It’s just way too good to pass up. Check out this linkIt’ll take you to the Legends ticket page, where you can learn more about what we have to offer.
